Gold Coast Regional Beekeepers Inc

The Gold Coast Regional Beekeepers Inc (GCRB) is a relatively new not for profit club formed in 2016 by a group of local Gold Coast Beekeepers with the aim of mentoring new beekeepers into the industry.

The club is affiliated with both the Queensland Beekeepers Association Inc. (QBA) and the Amateur Beekeeping Association of NSW Inc., and actively supports both associations.

GCRB is affiliated with the Vietnam Veterans Complex at Nerang where the club hives are kept and used for teaching new members the art of Beekeeping, all honey and beeswax produced by these hives is donated to the Veterans to assist with their fundraising objectives, and in fact several of our members are veterans of the many conflict zones and peacekeeping efforts that Australia has participated in.

With an ever growing membership, the club’s aim is to educate the community of the value of bees, both Australian Native and the European Honeybee, to the pollination and essential agricultural food chain of Australia and the world in general, for without these insects the world's food supply would ultimately fail in a short number of years.

The club provides guest speakers for various institutes, schools, social and other clubs to make presentations to their members as well as judges for shows and demonstrations. These talks/presentations are carried out as a community service at no cost to the receivers, and can be booked by email or phone.
