Yesterday, (I am writing at the beginning of the month), I noticed a few flowers on a Red Gum. In the past May has been the earliest I have seen it flowering, which is when I expected it to start performing this year. It did so two seasons ago. It is one of those trees that have an enormous range as to when it will set bud and flower. In some years the first flowers might not appear until August (or later in higher country).

Wow, what a start to the year. The first meeting was a bonzer with almost 100 people attending.
A big thank you to Stuart Anderson for taking out some of his valuable time donating and presenting our club with its very own flow hive. NRABA members were delighted to meet him and have their questions answered.
